DENC Whether you're looking for a job, or looking to hire, the Durham Employment & Newcomer Centre can help. Locations in Pickering and Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.

The Durham Region Unemployed Help Centre is a non-profit organization, funded by both the provincial and federal government. Therefore, we are able to provide you with these services free of charge. With two locations in Oshawa, and one in Pickering, we serve between 1600 job seekers each month. We have been successfully helping job seekers and employers achieve their employment goals since 1983. Our professional and experienced staff is committed to helping you in any way we can.

The Durham Employment and Newcomer Centre is seeking employer partners to support a proposed workforce development initiative aimed at creating pathways into high-demand skilled trades careers for youth in Durham Region.
We are looking to connect with employers who may be interested in:
✅ Hosting workplace tours or site visits
✅ Participating as guest speakers
✅ Providing demonstrations or job shadowing opportunities
✅ Serving in an advisory capacity to help shape training and workforce development activities
✅ Exploring future work-based learning opportunities
Employer input is critical to ensuring programs align with current industry needs and workforce demands.
