Build, connect, and grow together! 🧱✨
Join our LEGO Social Skills Group — a fun and engaging 6-week program where children can strengthen social skills through collaborative LEGO activities, creative play, and guided interaction. Participants will have opportunities to practice communication, teamwork, problem-solving, turn-taking, flexibility, and building friendships in a supportive environment.

📅 When: Wednesdays for 6 weeks starting on November 18th

🕓 Time: 4:00–5:30 PM

📍 Where: Northumberland Child Development

October 15 is Pregnancy and Infant and Loss Awareness Day

At NCDC, we extend our compassion and support to all parents, caregivers, and families who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss. We stand with you in remembrance and recognize that your baby’s life matters, your grief deserves understanding, and your love endures.

Meet Our New SLP!

We’re excited to welcome Margaret to the Northumberland Child Development Centre team as our new Speech-Language Pathologist.

Margaret brings a wealth of experience working with children and youth, and we’re thrilled to have her join our team to support children and families in our community. 💛

💙 A Heartfelt Thank You to Robert Smith 🚂

A very special thank you to Robert Smith for his incredibly thoughtful donation of his beautiful wooden train sets to us here at NCDC!

Robert holds a special place in our hearts, having received services at the Centre throughout his early childhood. It is especially meaningful to now welcome his generosity and support back into the NCDC community.

NCDC has also had the privilege of having Robert’s father, Wayne, as a dedicated member of our Board of Directors for many years. Wayne currently serves as President of the Board, continuing his commitment to supporting children, youth, and families in our community.

We are so grateful for the Smith family’s longstanding connection to NCDC and for the many ways they continue to give back. This wonderful train set will bring countless hours of imagination, creativity, and joyful play to the children we serve. ❤️
