CSFS remembers Jordan River Anderson today on what would have been his 27th birthday. Jordan’s Principle is a legal rule named in his memory and ensures that First Nations children get the services they need when they need them. Our Jordan’s Principle Services Coordinators are dedicated to assisting First Nations children and their families on and off-reserve in accessing the funding to receive the products, services, and supports they need – all in honour of Jordan River Anderson and his legacy. Even just one child who is left without is an inequity, and we will never stop serving to help rectify that.

Happy birthday, Jordan River Anderson 💙💛

Every October 22nd we remember the birthdays we spent with Jordan and every day we honour his gift of Jordan’s Principle that makes sure First Nations kids get the services and supports they need when they need it.

Work is progressing at 611 Brunswick Street in Prince George, with the exterior siding nearly complete and interior fixtures being installed. Since it is a large building, some rooms are further along than others. A notable feature that was recently completed is the mural by Raven-Tacuara, which makes the building stand out against the downtown skyline. This building will provide affordable housing for Elders, independent youth, young families, and post-majority youth.
