We’ve heard from a few residents about stolen garbage bins and want to share some tips to help keep yours safe.

Garbage bins are the responsibility of the property owner and cost $130 to replace. Here are a few ways to help keep track of your bin:

Bring your bin in: Put your bin out as close to 8 a.m. as possible on collection day and return it to your property when you can.
Mark your address: Write or paint your address on your bin so it’s easy to identify.
Record your bin number: Keep a note of your bin’s number in case wind blows it away from your property.

A few simple steps can help keep your bin where it belongs and avoid the cost of replacement. Thank you for helping keep our community tidy!
