As Learning Disabilities Awareness Month comes to a close, our message continues. 💙
📌 Nearly 1 in 10 Canadian youth aged 15–24 report having a learning disability.
📌 35% of individuals with learning disabilities report experiencing mental health-related disabilities, such as anxiety and depression.
📌 52% of Canadians aged 25–64 with a learning disability require one or more workplace accommodations.
These numbers remind us why awareness, understanding, and support matter all year long. Learning disabilities are often invisible, but their impact can be felt in classrooms, workplaces, and everyday life.
At the Learning Disabilities Association of York-Simcoe (LDAYS), we remain committed to raising awareness, supporting individuals and families, and building more inclusive communities throughout York Region, Simcoe County, and beyond.
