Here’s a look at what’s happening at PULSE this October!

Every Wednesday 8:15am - 10am
Drop in after school drop-off for coffee, conversation and a chance to connect with other parents and caregivers. No registration needed — just come as you are!

🩺 Healthcare Coordination Team
Every Friday 9am –12pm
Drop in for support navigating healthcare services and connecting with community resources.

🥕 Saint John Food Purchasing Club
October orders and payment are due by Friday, October 16th
Pickup: Friday, October 23 12pm –4pm at PULSE.

🦃 Thanksgiving Closure
PULSE will be closed Monday, October 12 for Thanksgiving.

PULSE will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30, in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Tomorrow is a day to honour the children who never returned home, Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities.

We encourage everyone to take time to listen, learn, reflect, and consider how we can all contribute to reconciliation.

What a great day for PULSE and our little corner of the South End!

A huge thank you to Port Saint John and the Virgin Voyages Impact Team for spending the afternoon with us, getting their hands dirty and helping give our outdoor space some much-needed love.

This really was a community effort. A big thank you to Shades Of Green for all the prep work and for helping us pull everything together. Long Reach Roots for showing up with lots of herbs, knowledge and an extra set of hands, and Bee Green Junk Removal for providing the dumpster and helping us tackle the not-so-pretty part of cleaning things up.

So many hands helped make this happen, and we’re really grateful for every single one of them.

I can’t wait to see this space next year when the garlic starts popping up, the berries are growing, the herbs and perennials fill in. Our little parking lot is looking a whole lot greener.

Pretty amazing what can happen when community comes together. 💚

☕ Parent & Caregiver Chat is happening this morning from 8:15–10:00 AM.

P.U.L.S.E. will be closed at noon today as we head outside for some parking lot TLC with the Virgin Voyages crew! We’ll be getting our hands dirty and giving our outdoor space some much-needed love. 💚

And a big thank you to Shades of Green for coming out yesterday and helping us with all the prep work to get ready for today! 🌱

🌱 P.U.L.S.E. will be CLOSED Wednesday Afternoon🌱

Wednesday afternoon, you’ll find us outside in the P.U.L.S.E. parking lot with volunteers from Virgin Voyages, giving our outdoor space some much-needed love!

We’ll be ripping up LOTS of grass (hopefully meaning a lot less weed-whacking for this crew), planting beautiful edible plants, giving our white hearts some TLC, and working together to revitalize the space around P.U.L.S.E.

We’re also very lucky to have Curtis from Long Reach Roots joining us and sharing some of his knowledge! I’ll try not to spend the whole afternoon picking his brain about all things plants because we do actually have work to get done.

And we would LOVE some community help!

If you have some time Wednesday afternoon, come find us in the parking lot and lend a hand. There will be lots to do, and many hands are very welcome! 🌿🪏

Come help us dig, plant, clean up and make an impact in our little corner of the community. 💚
