Over the past week, we’ve had the privilege of recognizing paramedics across Medavie EMS Elgin for extraordinary moments in 2025, from saving lives and achieving Return of Spontaneous Circulation (ROSC), to safely delivering babies.
We are proud to celebrate the dedication, quick thinking, and expertise our paramedics bring to their communities and all the unpredictable situations they face on a daily basis.
Thank you to our crew for the difference you continue to make in emergencies, in the lives of the people and families that you care for, and among the teammates you work beside.

Medavie EMS Elgin is fortunate to have dedicated and passionate paramedics who push themselves to be the best they can be for the communities they serve.
They show up every day with care, compassion, patience, and professionalism; not just during the big moments, but in the quiet ones too.
No matter what the day brings, our paramedics lead with strength, empathy and commitment in everything they do. They are constantly learning, growing, and supporting each other so they can provide the best care possible when it matters the most.
Paramedic Services Week gives us an opportunity to recognize and celebrate our team, but our appreciation for them goes far beyond this week. Thank you to each and every paramedic for the work that they do, the support that they give, and the difference they make in the lives of so many people.

Every day, paramedics and nurses work side by side to support our communities through emergencies, difficult moments, and recovery. We see firsthand the impact nurses have not only on patients, but the entire healthcare system around them.
From busy departments to patient handovers and continued care, your role shapes the experience and outcomes of so many people every single day.
Thank you for everything that you do.

Mental Health Week is a chance to slow down and think about how we're taking care of ourselves and the people around us.
This year’s theme chosen by the Canadian Mental Health Association “Come Together, Canada: Stronger Connections. Better Mental Health.” highlights how much social connection matters for our health and well-being. Whether it's at work, at home, or in our community, small moments of connection each other can make a difference.
Taking time to check in, reach out, and create safe spaces for meaningful conversation helps us build stronger and healthier communities for everyone.

From community events to emergencies, they show up when they're needed, ready to respond no matter the situation.
The calls come in, and they take over, paramedics, emergency communicators, firefighters, police officers, and our other trusted community partners, bringing skill, focus, and experience into moments that demand all three.
Its work in our communities that often goes unseen, but never without impact.
Today is First Responders Day, a moment to recognize the people behind those calls, and the difference they make every single day.
