Fun Fact Friday 🦨
Baby skunks are called kits. Like many young animals, kits stay close to their mother while they learn important survival skills. If you see young wildlife, it’s best to give them space—mom is usually nearby.

A milestone moment for the City of St. Thomas! 🐾✂️
Today, we officially cut the ribbon on the new Animal Services building, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for animal care in our community.
Over the coming weeks, staff and shelter animals will begin moving into the new facility, which will provide enhanced spaces, improved services, and a better experience for both animals and the people who care for them.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this project a reality. We look forward to welcoming the community into this incredible new space soon!

Fun Fact Friday 🐶
Puppies are born deaf and blind, relying entirely on smell and touch in their first days of life. Their eyes and ears gradually open as they grow, allowing them to explore the world around them. This early stage is an important time for growth and development.
