Please come join us.

We had three come out and are going again next Thursday. 7 pm at the Library!
Come out! We will get you started.

As a way to give back to our community, the Kyle Library is going to have a community mitten tree. If you knit or crochet, or make mitts out of sweaters, we will collect them and donate them to charity.
Now, in addition to this, we are going to hold a Learn to Knit Mitts night on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 7 pm.
The pattern will be The World’s Simplest Mitts by Tin Can Knits.
We will have some yarn, or you can bring your own. We will have some double pointed needles, or you can bring your own. 3 or 4 mm work for most yarn.
Please register so we know how many patterns to print off.
This is a first class and subsequent classes will be determined after the first night.
We will learn:
Long tail cast on
Following a pattern
Knitting on double pointed needles

Prerequisites:
Familiarity with knit and purl stitches preferred but not necessary

Come join us and learn a craft!

EDIT: If you have needles but not yarn, don’t worry, we have received a donation of yarn and can accommodate you!!!
