🏠 We’re happy to support a province-wide initiative to help New Brunswickers test for radon — for free.

Led by the Government of New Brunswick, this program makes radon testing simple and accessible. Free test kits are available at public libraries across the province — no library card or personal information required.

📚 The New Brunswick Public Library Service is managing distribution.
🧪 RPC is supplying the kits and providing lab analysis and reporting.

Free radon test kits are now available at public libraries across New Brunswick.

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can enter homes through cracks in foundations and gaps around pipes. About one in four New Brunswick homes may have levels above Health Canada's guideline.

High radon exposure increases your risk of lung cancer, and since radon is invisible, odourless and tasteless, testing is the only way to know your home's level.

Testing is easy:

✅ Place the kit in your home and leave it undisturbed for at least 91 days.

✅ Return it to the library to be sent for analysis.

✅ Get your results in 4 to 6 weeks.
