Daylight Savings Time is officially over - and it's time to change your clocks back! While you're at it, Montague Fire wants to remind you to also change the batteries in your smoke/CO alarms!

If you wanted to take it a step further, you could also spend the day checking your emergency preparedness kit so that it's functional for the upcoming winter season!

Hopefully, you were able to enjoy an extra hour of sleep! 😴

Thanks SO much to Pickle & Myrrh and Heritage Stables for their donation to the 22 Acre Park, right here in !

Their annual event, Fall for Merrickville, is held on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend each year, and aims to give back to the community - both here in Montague, and our neighbours across the river in Merrickville-Wolford as well!

Their donation will help the Township further develop the 22 Acre Park, and will allow us to make the park space even better for users!

Special thank you to Erin, Tyler and Willow of Pickle & Myrrh and Jacob from Heritage Stables for joining Reeve Jennings and Councillors Abbass and Johnson over at the park to present the cheque this afternoon! 🤩

Do some good in your hood, has been a motto with Fall For Merrickville since we started 9 years ago, and we are delighted to have impact with our community long after Thanksgiving Saturday has come and gone.

Today we met with Montague Township to donate to the 22 Acre Park. This project is incredible, and made possible by community grants and the hardworking team at the municipal office who champion it.

Accessible walking trails, year round recreational sports facilities and opportunities for every age to participate in this beautiful space is definitely something Fall For Merrickville supports. On behalf of Heritage Stables and Pickle & Myrrh we are thrilled to see this project thrive, and are own families enjoy the efforts that have been put into it!

We sincerely appreciate the effort that each and every candidate put into their campaign for the betterment of the Township. Thank you to our ratepayers and residents as well, for taking the time to vote in this election. Although turnout was low this election, we were not the only municipality whose numbers were down - hopefully we can encourage a larger turnout in future elections.

We'll try again in the 2030 election - until then, watch for the unofficial results to be posted shortly!
