All the snuggles after a long day of working at the daycare (there’s lots of kids all the time and Phil feels the need to make sure they are all where they need to be)

Just another day at the office…
I’ve been MIA recently as I try to balance my health and work, but I just had to share this activity with you! Today the kids splatter painted me! Have you ever seen such a sight!?!? So much fun!

Our book shelves are full of photo albums of pictures of the kids here at daycare. We love to look back on the activities we have done in the past, and remember friends that have left us for their next adventures.
I take photos all day long to share with the families, so printing them every few months and making photo albums up is quick and easy.

Did you get hurt or scared?
Always the first question I ask kids when they start to cry after a fall.
99% of the time, the fall was more scary then painful.
By asking this simple question you know exactly what it is that the child needs next. And 99% of the time, they just need some love, cuddles, and attention.

As you may know, especially if you have been following along for some time now, I was diagnosed a few years back with Multiple Sclerosis. For the most part my journey with MS has been relatively calm, especially compared to my many warrior peers.
About a month ago though things changed for me. I was struggling with some leg pain and stiffness which I thought was possibly an injury from riding my spin bike too much (can you say obsessed!?!?!), but a few weeks after my vaccine, which did it's job as planned and triggered my immune system, the pains in my legs became more constant and severe. It didn't take me long to contact my Neurologist with suspicion that what I was experiencing wasn't a knee injury (after all what kind of knee injury switches what knee is hurt every few hours) but was in fact a relapse. I don't think the vaccine has caused a relapse, I think that had already begun in my body, I do however wonder if it sped the process along a bit.
Read the rest of the story and the reason why I tell you this in the comments.

Meet Jenn. A fun loving ECE here in Port Coquitlam, BC.
Jenn says she has a Mixed Philosophy on Early Years Education. She believes all children learn in different ways and by incorporating pieces from each philosophy we can engage, encourage, and help each child find the learning style that suites them.

With so much happening in the world right now that sheds light on the many racial and social issues facing our population, here is a simple reminder for you all...
Kindness, is always the right choice!

A quick outdoor art invitation from last week. I like to keep print outs of random things on hand to pop on the art table and see what the kids do with them. These bare trees were the perfect invitation, the kids chose spring like paint colours to make leaves and flowers on their trees.

We are spending more and more of our days outside with the change in weather and we are loving every min of it.
Tell me do you work in a program that spends your full days outside? I would love to hear some of your tips and tricks for nap times outside, lunches without pesky wasps, and any other tips you can share!
