Today, 103 students with albinism in Under The Same Sun's Education Program are studying at colleges and universities across Tanzania.

From law and nursing to cybersecurity, communications, accounting, and clinical medicine, these students are building careers, breaking barriers, and showing what is possible when students with albinism are given the opportunity to thrive.

Every student represents a future filled with leadership, opportunity, and hope.

This International Albinism Awareness Day, we're celebrating 103 reasons to believe in the incredible potential of people with albinism.

"It took time for me to accept myself fully and to believe that I could achieve great things just like anyone else."

When Sikujua joined UTSS's education program in 2010, she was just 10 years old. Like many children with albinism, she struggled with confidence and often felt different because of the way others treated her.

Through education, mentorship, healthcare, and support from UTSS, she gained the confidence to embrace who she is and pursue her dreams.

"UTSS helped me build strong self-confidence, allowing me to interact freely with other people and become more open in society."

Today, Sikujua is a university graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Library and Information Studies.
