For the past 10 years Steve has been helping make a difference in our community through his dedication as a Surrey Food Bank volunteer.

Since 1983, Surrey Food Bank has been serving individuals across Surrey and North Delta with dignity, care and community support.

Last year we helped more then 215,000 clients with an average of 12lbs of food distributed per visit. Nearly 40% of food is fresh and perishable, helping provide access to nutritious options for those who need it the most.

None of this would be possible without the dedication of our 450+ monthly volunteers, donors and community partners who make this work possible everyday.

Summer is one if the most challenging times of the year for Surrey Food Bank. While the need for food support remains high, donations often slow down, making it harder to keep our shelves stocked for families, seniors and individuals who rely on us.

Every Wednesday, without fail the dedicated volunteers from Tzu Chi Canada arrive to serve our community.

Their commitment, kindness and generosity have become a valued part of Surrey Food Bank family. Week after week, they help distibute food, ensuring local families, seniors and individuals have access to the support that they need.

Long-term partnerships like this are built on trust, compassion and a shared commitment to helping others. We are extremely grateful for the many years of support from Tzu Chi Canada and for the volunteers who continue to give their time so selflessly.
