Wow!! What an awesome turnout today at Simon Fraser University!! A big thank you to SFU for hosting us once again and to all those who took the time to come over and chat with us and sign the pledge not to text and drive!! Distracted driving kills, and if you're reading this on your phone, we hope that now less people would be doing so while driving!

• Texting while driving is equal to driving after drinking 4 beers
• You are 23 times more likely to crash when texting
• 5 Seconds of texting at 80 km per hour is 300ft of missed road
• 28% of accidents are text related
• 11 teens are killed every day from texting while driving
On September 4th, 2013, Police Victim Services of British Columbia & BC Crime Prevention Association will invite Simon Fraser University students to “Take the Pledge” and promote the fact that distracted driving and texting kills. Come visit us on the Burnaby campus and take the pledge!!
