And to the families behind our first responders, thank you for the sacrifices you make, too.

From my first responder family to yours, thank you for all that you do. We hope you always make it home safely to the ones who love you most. 💙

🚒🔥 A Weekend of Training and Teamwork! 🔥🚒

This past weekend, four of our members attended the SVFFA Fall Fire School in Weyburn!

👨‍🚒 Chief Pete L’Heureux shared his knowledge and experience as an instructor for Ropes and Ladders.

🔥 Captain Nathan Schindel, Firefighter Bejie Aracine, and Firefighter Zac Neufeld participated in live fire training, gaining valuable hands-on experience, learning new techniques, and sharpening the skills they already have.

Continuous training is essential to keeping our crews prepared, confident, and ready to serve our community. We’re proud of our members for their dedication to always learning and improving!

A huge thank you to Weyburn for hosting, and to all the instructors and organizers who make these incredible training opportunities possible! Weyburn Fire Rescue City of Weyburn

From all of us at the RM of Swift Current Fire Department, we wish you all the best in your retirement and whatever adventures lie ahead.

❤️ You may be hanging up your gear, but you’ll always be part of our fire department family!

Lithium-ion batteries are part of our everyday lives—from phones and laptops to power tools and other rechargeable devices. But when they’re damaged, improperly charged, or disposed of incorrectly, they can become a serious fire hazard.

A few simple habits can make a big difference:
• Use approved/listed products and the correct charger.
• Charge devices on a hard, stable surface and never block ventilation.
• Stop using batteries that are damaged, swollen, or overheating.
• Never throw lithium-ion batteries in the regular garbage—recycle them properly.

Charge smart. Stay safe. Protect your home. 🚒🔋
