Do you have a child who is 12 or older and loves to write? We are starting up a monthly program for young writers!

Kids can hone their craft with creative writing prompts and share inspiration and ideas with others. Registration is not required, but it will help us plan if you can please let us know if your child is able to make it! Thank you in advance! 📓🖊️🤓

Unfortunately there will not be a kids' craft program today at 3:30! We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and the short notice. We will be back up and running next week but for today, due to Kayla's being sick, there will be no program sadly. Thank you for understanding. The library is open today 11–5, and we hope to see you see soon!

The Town of Thorsby Municipal Library Board is seeking Board applications from people who believe in the importance of libraries, are committed to the mission and vision of the Thorsby Municipal Library, and want to help improve our community by working to support library operations, services, and programs.

Board meetings on the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm. Our meetings are open to the public and meeting minutes are available for anyone to read; please ask at the library front desk if you would like to access previous minutes.

Join us on Friday, October 30th starting at 4pm for an evening of pumpkin carving! A massive thank you to Thorsby Supermarket for donating the pumpkins for this event! 🎃

Registration is limited, so please contact us to sign up for free. Everything will be ready for you to start carving at 4pm but you can drop in anytime before 7pm to work on your pumpkin! The library will be open two hours later than usual for this, so you can come carve a jack-o'-lantern or just enjoy an evening at the library! 📖

If you have spare carving tools that we can borrow for this, please let us know. We hope you are having a great October so far and thank you again to Thorsby Family Foods! ☺️

An update on the Yarn Circle: unfortunately Donna, the wonderful lady who is a regular at the program Fridays, is under the weather and will not be able to attend tomorrow from 1:30-3:30 as she usually does.

Donna has let us know she has commitments next week on the 16th as well and will not be able to come to the program until October 23rd. The coffee will still be on tomorrow, but we wanted to let everyone know that unfortunately Donna will not be there!

We hope Donna feels better soon. Many people have shared with us that they or their families are sick right now– we hope everyone gets back to good health soon!

It's Wednesday, and that means we have our Learning & Craft Hour program at 3:30pm! We will be in the lobby of the complex today instead of the craft room, and we will be reading "A Turkey for Thanksgiving" by Eve Bunting 🦃😊
