Dear Scarborough Poetry Club members,

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who joined in "Come Together: A Celebration of Public Spaces Through Poetry" at Agincourt branch of Toronto Public Library on Saturday, July 25, particularly our readers and their guests including family members and friends. We know some of you would have liked to be there but couldn't. We would also like to thank everyone who attended our virtual event during our monthly Club meeting on Friday, July 24 on Zoom.

Readers, once again, you shared your unique perspectives, experiences and voices to make our events heart-felt, engaging and memorable. We appreciate the variety of poems and reading styles we heard on the theme of celebrating public spaces.

As always, we enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with many of you in-person and to take some photos at the conclusion of the program. We've attached one of those photos as a memento of our gathering (taken by Anna). Pictured in this photo (left to right) are Club members Daniela (in front), Sheila W, Michelle, Mou, Inez, David, Teresa, Fernando, and Martin.

The event also included readings by Jeevan and Anna, co-facilitators of the Scarborough Poetry Club.

Thanks also to Agincourt Library for hosting our special event.

A reminder that our next monthly meeting on Zoom will be on FRI AUG 7 at 6PM.

Warm regards,

Anna and Jeevan

Anna Nieminen and Jeevan Bhagwat,
Co-facilitators, Scarborough Poetry Club
