Choosing to serve and belong to a select demographic with ideologies has consequences at all stages of life. The consequences are never evident while being submerged in that demography. How does a mental injury manifest itself without an awareness to ones own being in such subculture?

To serve is to sacrifice. This is relivent to all aspects of life. Work, family and friends.

However when one deeply cares in all realms of life there is a good possibility that one gets hurt when the caring is not acknowledged or disrespected. Perhaps moving forward in life without expectations could resolve this calamity. Accepting what is.
...without any mental constructs is a space to get to.

For those whom have transitioned out of uniform with more than 30 years of service, and have been out for more than 5 years, what are the biggest challenges that you face with integrating back to civilian life.

Moving forward from any situation where the mind and body has been programmed to achieve an agenda is not easy. However once this awareness arises, the unbecoming journey begins, Soldier to common citizen we advance to become..... The common aggressive emotions that were encouraged and promoted servers no purpose. The discovery of new emotions to function rationally is paramount.

Being identified by a rank, appointment or title impersonalizes the human experience. This experience is supported by policy and historic traditions and customs. However at closer analysis it is evident that these experiences are ocastrated and nourished to feed the human ego. Hence when one leaves this illusionary construct the ego seeks that recognition and validation. Many are able to overcome this illusionary identity and other ego centric military constructs. For those that cannot, for most part they become misfits in society.

To unbecome a human construct, one has to understand the why and how one was designed instatutionally. Then a thorough introspection to determine what attributes are worthy of moving forward with can be of tremendous help. This process could take years, however could be an intrinsically rewarding experience.

As we come to "Let’s Talk" day having relevant and meaningful dialogue with regards to mental health cannot be emphasized enough. Listening speaking and commenting with grace permeates all barriers of stigma. What does mental illnesses look like?

If not for those who fought for freedom and liberty, money obsessed cooperation would cease to exist. Unfortunately setting this group on Facebook has been derailed by such cooperate greed at this time. With time the truth shall prevail.

Being liberated from uniform and illusion leaves a void that one could easily fall into. How does one define who they beyond instatutional service?
