The volunteers of the Taiaiako’n–Parkdale–High Park Federal Liberal Association powered our campaign and continue to power the connections we make in the community.
It was great to see a full house at the Alpine for an evening of local Canadian trivia, community, and recognition of the incredible people who make our work possible.
Thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and commitment — I stand on your shoulders.
Back with another weekly update from Taiaiako’n-Parkdale-High Park before we head into the last two weeks in Ottawa!

🇨🇦 This spring, our office organized 3 free community tax clinics, helping 166 individuals get their taxes filed.
We assisted low-income residents and those who need it most: seniors, people with disabilities, newcomers, and anyone who can’t afford professional tax help.
A huge thank you to our 11 incredible volunteer accountants who gave their time to serve our community:
Stephen Scanlan, Sophia Campbell, Eyad Nassany, Graeme Deans,Thao Nguyen, Miranda Kondi, Lois Bennett, Christine Newman, Munkhazaya Nergui, Tina Tran, Beletset Tewolde.
Thank you to Toronto Community Housing for welcoming us into their buildings across the riding, especially Fahad Yousuf, and to LOFT Community Services for connecting residents to our services.
Your expertise helps ensure that the most vulnerable residents in Taiaiako’n–Parkdale—High Park get the supports they need. 💙

Addressing the Island Airport. What’s happening; What isn’t happening; and Where I stand.

A privilege to join the passionate and hard-working community volunteers at twice this week — at their new site on Jane Street, and for their Annual General Meeting.
Food banks are part of that invisible social safety net that too many people need. Thank you for stepping up and creating spaces and services that treat our neighbours with dignity and give them a helping hand.

On Personal Support Worker Day, I was honoured to join for their PSW Gala, a celebration of the frontline workers — mostly women, mostly immigrants and racialized — who bring care and dignity to patients and their families every single day.
PSWs are the bedrock of our healthcare system, and they deserve a government that respects their professionalism and has their backs. That’s why our government introduced the new Personal Support Worker Tax Credit, a measure SEIU Healthcare championed for years, which will put money directly back into the pockets of over 200,000 PSWs across Canada.
This is what a government that listens and cares looks like. Thank you to Michael Spitale and SEIU Healthcare for the invitation, and to every PSW serving in homes, care homes, and hospitals across my riding, including St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Copernicus Lodge, Chartwell White Eagle Nursing Home, and beyond. We all benefit from the work you do — with your heads, hands, and hearts — every single day.

Grateful to for the vital work you do supporting families and individuals across our community.
It was a pleasure attending the Bloor St. West Annual General Meeting last night, your care and commitment make a real difference.
Great to have MP .wpgsouth and MP join me for a community walk and to hear directly from residents about the issues that matter most to them.
