Building a stronger community together.

Some moments carry more weight than others.

Today, another ORA client was initiated into LiUNA Local 183. But what we see is more than an initiation. We see the early mornings, the hard conversations, the training, the setbacks, and the decision to keep moving forward.

Today, all of that effort opened the door to a real career and a different future.

We’re incredibly proud of him and grateful to LiUNA Local 183 and the LiUNA Local 183 Training Centre for continuing to believe in our people and the possibilities ahead of them.

One more life moving forward. 💪🏽🏗️

ANOTHER DOOR OPENED. 🔥

Today, another one of our clients was officially initiated into LiUNA Local 183.

This moment represents a lot more than joining a union. It represents the early mornings, the mentoring, the training, the setbacks, the discipline, and the decision to keep moving forward.

Now, he’s stepping into a career with real opportunity, good wages, benefits, a pension, and a future he can build on.

One more person moving forward.
One more family with new possibilities.
One more reason to keep doing this work.

We’re incredibly proud of him.

A heartfelt thank you to LiUNA Local 183 and the LiUNA Local 183 Training Centre for continuing to believe in our clients and helping turn second chances into real opportunities. ❤️

Careers, not jobs. 💪🏽

Look at what showing up can lead to.

Today, five ORA clients stood together and were initiated into LiUNA Local 183.

Not long ago, this moment was just a goal. Today, it’s real.

They put in the hours. They completed the training. They stayed committed. And now they’re stepping into careers they earned.

To LiUNA Local 183 and the LiUNA Local 183 Training Centre, thank you for opening doors and giving our people the opportunity to prove what they can do.

Five today. And every one of them earned their place.

Everybody starts somewhere. 🔥

Before the first job. Before the paycheque. Before years of experience.

There’s a moment when you put on the gear, step into the shop and start learning.

That’s where these guys are right now.

Our clients are putting in the hours at General Welding School, learning a skilled trade that can open doors for years to come.

There’s something powerful about watching someone discover what they’re capable of when given the opportunity to learn.

Today, they’re students. Tomorrow, who knows how far they’ll take it.

A big thank you to General Welding School for investing in our people and being part of their journey. 🔥👊🏽

A FIRST FOR ORA. A NEW FUTURE FOR HIM. 💪🏗️

Today, we’re incredibly proud to celebrate our first ORA client officially initiated into Ironworkers Local 721.

This moment represents more than joining a union. It represents perseverance, hard work, and a young man who kept moving forward when giving up would have been easier.

Another door opened. Another career beginning. Another reminder of what can happen when someone is given an opportunity and chooses to run with it.

We couldn’t be prouder. This is only the beginning.

David Piccini, your outstanding leadership and dedication to Ontario’s skilled trades and labour community have created an impact that I truly believe will be felt for generations.

Your work has never just been about training people or filling jobs. You helped create opportunities for people to build meaningful careers, earn good livable wages, support their families, move into the middle class and begin building something that their children and grandchildren can carry forward.

Years from now, the true impact of your work will be measured in the lives that changed. It will be seen in stronger families, people becoming homeowners, children growing up with greater opportunities, and second and third generations becoming more prosperous because someone in their family was given a real chance.

As you take on your new role as Minister of Infrastructure, I have no doubt that you will bring the same determination, work ethic and genuine commitment to people that you brought to labour and the skilled trades.

On behalf of Joe, myself, everyone at the Oaks Revitalization Association, and especially the clients whose lives and futures have been changed through the opportunities your work helped create, thank you, David.

We are incredibly grateful for everything you have done. I’m proud to call you a friend, and you will always have my personal support and the support of the ORA wherever your journey takes you.

I know you’re going to do an incredible job in this next chapter. ❤️
