Mental health is essential to our overall well-being—and everyone deserves access to care, support, and understanding.
This month, we recognize the importance of breaking stigma, listening without judgment, and creating spaces where people feel safe to seek help. Healing looks different for everyone, and no one should have to navigate it alone.

The Schlifer Clinic is very encouraged by this landmark decision and proud to have intervened from the perspective of a clinic supporting women and gender diverse survivors of intimate partner violence. The Supreme Court’s decision is an important step forward in recognizing the extensive harms of intimate partner violence and survivors’ right to be compensated by their abusers. It also acknowledges the intersecting factors—such as race, disability, and immigration status—that shape survivors’ experiences. On Wednesday, May 13, our Acting Executive Director Jehan Chaudry represented the Clinic at Headlines & Harm: Reframing Media Coverage of Gender-Based Violence, hosted by Aura Freedom. Thank you to Aura Freedom for the invitation and for bringing together journalists, media professionals, advocates, and community members for such an engaging and thoughtful evening. From the powerful panel discussion to meaningful conversations and shared learning, the event highlighted the importance of how GBV is reported—and the role we all play in reshaping the narrative. Grateful to have been part of such an inspiring space 🤍
