A space made just for siblings 🀍

In March, we hosted our GCA Connects: In-Person Sibling Support Group designed for children ages 6 to 12 who have a sibling with ASD. Together, they played games, took part in activities, and created a space to share their experiences, ask questions, and build real friendships ✨

Shout-out to the intake team for holding such a warm and welcoming space. And we cannot wait to do it again πŸ™Œ

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible partner, ICON Digital! 🌟

For years, ICON Digital and Geneva Centre for Autism have stood side by side, united by a shared belief that real change happens when businesses and communities come together with purpose.

On April 29th, we brought together business leaders, advocates, and community members under the theme: "Beyond the Visible: Leadership, Love, and Strength Across the Spectrum," and together, we raised an extraordinary $84,000 in support of Geneva Centre's life-changing programs and services πŸŽ‰

None of this would be possible without the leadership and generosity of ICON Digital Productions Inc. and Alex Christopoulos.

We also want to shine a spotlight on our incredible speakers, including our own Foundation Board Chair, Jenn Tremblay, whose words moved and inspired everyone in the room.

A huge thank you also to our Platinum sponsors: Hargraft Schofield LP, Baird MacGregor Insurance Brokers LP , Dysys Media Solutions, For Little Monkeys Charity, Laird Plastics, Melnik Mounts, Navori Labs, Samsung, Spicers Canada, and TD Bank Group, as well as all our gold and silver sponsors, donors, and guests, who made the evening so special.

πŸš€ The AWDH Team Just Levelled Up!

Last month, the entire Autism Workforce Development Hub team completed Employment Service Training delivered by Jennifer Hope from the Ontario Disability Employment Network (ODEN) πŸ‘

Every team member received a certificate of completion as they prepare to transition into their new Employment Services roles.

We are proud of this team and excited about what comes next πŸ™Œ

Art, Colour, and Community 🎨❀️

In April, our Core Services clients showed us what Autism Awareness Month looks like from the inside. Each child worked on a unique colouring activity, and the team brought every single piece together to create something larger: an infinity symbol.

Baked with love and a whole lot of skill πŸͺ✨

TBT to when our Adult Day Respite team hosted a cookie and refreshment stand for the Geneva Centre staff!

Our amazing clients spent time planning, shopping, and baking treats to share their appreciation and spread the love. Every bite came with a whole lot of heart ❀️

Beyond the delicious baked goods, this was a beautiful opportunity for real skill-building from planning and organizing teamwork and connecting with the wider Geneva Centre community. And judging by the smiles on everyone's faces, it was a very good day for staff too πŸ™Œ πŸŽ‰

Our Team Learned Something New Through Music 🎢

Members of our Adult and Group Services teams recently turned up the volume at a training workshop led by Dr. Erin Parkes, Executive Director of the Lotus Centre for Special Music Education 🎡 Together, they moved through interactive musical activities, explored adaptive music techniques, and genuinely had fun doing it.

Our team is excited to weave these meaningful, adaptive musical elements into our services to create even more engaging and enriching experiences for clients ✨
