Another successful CO’s parade! We had promotions to Trooper and handed out Marksmanship badges. Further, our very own Captain Lee received his CD Bar for honourable long service in and dedication to the CAF. Overall amazing training night!

The Lieutenant Governor’s Ontario Heritage Awards are annual, awards administered by the Ontario Heritage Trust to recognize exceptional contributions to the conservation of Ontario’s natural and cultural heritage.

Congratulations to WO Elahi.D and Sgt Elahi.H, who were both recipients of this prestigious award presented on Friday by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario at Queen’s Park.

This past weekend our cadets participated in our Range Day, learning the skills necessary to shoot the Daisy Air Rifle and get some time on the range. Great job, Rangers

During March break we had three of our Rangers participate in the Storm The Giant Winter Regional Expedition in Thunder Bay - MWO Kuzmann, Ronnie and MWO Jiang, Aidan as participants and CWO Kuzmann, Harriette as an ATL. We also had Lt Humby on staff and had two fellow Rangers from 2799 on Team 3!

Together, we pushed through brutal conditions, facing temperatures as low as -30°C with the windchill, and took on every phase of a winter expedition. We cycled over 65 km, skied more than 35 km, and snowshoed over 20 km to a steep summit all while hauling a fully loaded toboggan, hot tent sled, and heavy rucksacks every step of the way.

Being three of the 30 cadets chosen across all of Ontario for participation in this expedition highlights the calibre of our cadets.

Rangers Lead The Way 💪🏼

Winter Indoc training ✅ our cadets learned about personal and team equipment, environmental injuries, how to pack and tow a toboggan, pitching and striking an arctic tent, making a hypowrap, and the joys of dominos pizza. Great job, Rangers
