Four Years. One Unbreakable Nation.

Today marks four years since russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Four years of heartbreak and loss.
Four years of destruction aimed at breaking a nation.
Four years of courage that has inspired the world.

Ukraine continues to face relentless attacks on its cities, its energy infrastructure, and its people. Families remain separated. Communities rebuild under the constant shadow of war.

Through fire, through darkness, through bitter cold — Ukraine stands firm.

It stands because of the bravery of its defenders.
It stands because of the resilience of its citizens.
It stands because partners around the world understand that Ukraine’s fight is a fight for freedom, sovereignty, and the rules-based international order.

At Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce, we have witnessed the extraordinary resilience of Ukrainian businesses that continue to operate, innovate, and lead — even under the harshest conditions of war. Entrepreneurs, manufacturers, technology leaders, and exporters are keeping Ukraine’s economy moving forward. Economic resilience is national resilience.

As we mark this solemn anniversary, we reaffirm our commitment to strengthening Canada–Ukraine partnerships and mobilizing private sector leadership to support Ukraine’s long-term recovery.

We stand with Ukraine — today, tomorrow, and for as long as it takes.

On Friday, January 23, CUCC—together with UCPBA of Toronto and Ukrainian World Congress - Свiтовий Конґрес Українців —hosted a closed-door fireside chat at Ukrainian Canadian Art Foundation - KUMF Gallery in Toronto featuring Сергій Притула, Founder of the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation, Oleksandr Yarmak, Senior Lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Commander of the Darknode UAS Battalion (412th “Nemesis” Brigade), Paul Grod, President of the Ukrainian World Congress - Свiтовий Конґрес Українців, moderated by Roman Waschuk, Business Ombudsman in Ukraine. The event took place as a side event of the One United Fundraiser (Єдинозбір) 2026 North American Tour.

As the war in Ukraine becomes increasingly technology-driven, drone and counter-drone systems are critical to protecting civilians and infrastructure, with Ukrainian innovation emerging as one of the most vital lines of defense.

The One United Fundraiser aims to raise 1 billion UAH to support smart drone interceptor systems and critical equipment. With nearly 198 million UAH already raised in Ukraine, momentum continues to build globally.

This leadership-focused gathering created a trusted space for candid discussion, firsthand insights into wartime innovation, and meaningful engagement between Canada’s Ukrainian business community and leaders. $178,000 was raised during the event in support of Ukraine’s defense and resilience.

The evening served as a moment to reaffirm Canada’s commitment to supporting Ukraine’s defense and rebuilding efforts.

UWC launches emergency fundraiser as Ukraine endures cold 01/21/2026

As Russia intensifies attacks on Ukraine’s energy grid amid life-threatening winter temperatures, millions of civilians are being left without heat or electricity.

Following an urgent call from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ukrainian World Congress - Свiтовий Конґрес Українців (UWC) has launched an emergency fundraising drive to help Ukrainians survive one of the harshest winters of the war. Entire cities — including Kyiv — are facing freezing darkness as civilian energy infrastructure continues to be deliberately targeted.

On January 20 alone, more than 5,600 apartment buildings in Kyiv were left without heat or power. Across the country, energy workers are risking their lives to restore electricity under constant threat.

The need is urgent!

Every donation matters — providing heat for families, light for hospitals, and power for communities.
