Budgets don't balance themselves...and you can't just make up your own numbers, either.
Team Holt did some classic Liberal math and double-counted the HST in their financial calculations to make it look like they would run a surplus. In short, "total revenue" for future years includes HST at 15%. The HST cut would reduce the amount of total revenue. But Holt and her team added the tax cut to their total revenue.
Bottom line: when you remove the imaginary numbers, it shows that the Liberals are planning a deficit of more than $1 BILLION.
The Liberals will put NB back in the red. We can't afford to go back. Let's keep building.
