The National Wildlife Rehabilitation Foundation helps more wildlife in Ontario than any other organization. They support so many people and organizations who are making a difference in rescuing, treating, rehabbing, and releasing our wildlife back to nature. By supporting the NWRF, you can be certain that your money is going where it's needed most in order to best care for wildlife. Your donations to NWRF are not wasted. They support all Wildlife Rehabbers who need assistance to stay open or to do more, rather than giving to some of the larger organizations with huge marketing budgets who bring in 7-figures on their own, and pay 6-figure salaries and stock pile the funds that donors intended to be used on saving animals' lives. The whole goal of donating to these Wildlife Rehabbers is to save as many animals as possible.

2 years ago today a department of the Ministry of Natural Resources chose to abuse their position, and flex their muscles in an absolutely grotesque display of massive proportions.
I’m struggling to talk of it today as my heart and soul grieve so profoundly for the 80+ innocent raccoons who were put through unnecessary hell. I see their faces. I hear their screams. They were terrified and knew they were in danger. They screamed out and shook in terror for an entire day at the hands of these power-tripping animal abusers. They urinated and defecated all over themselves. They were thirsty, hungry, and in pain. None of this suffering was necessary. It happened only because those in charge wanted it to. Tomorrow, I’ll plot for revenge and justice. Today and tonight, I’ll just continue to mourn.
Please little ones, forgive us for not fighting harder. We were naive enough to believe in a system that lawyers kept telling us would work if we we didn’t ruffle any feathers. Oh how I wish we had ruffled those feathers.
In your deaths, you’ve all found peace. And in our living, we will always remember your suffering.

Only in Ontario is this sick blood sport allowed to thrive. Penned dog hunting has been banned across Canada, and in fact, across most of the world. But not here ... good old Dougie has increased the number of licenses facilities allowed in Ontario. But why??? Less than 2% of Ontarians are licensed hunters, and very few of them support this cruelty.

What's natural about bulldozing our wildlife's natural habitat? What's natural about denying our natural instinct to care for the vulnerable?
