Volunteers at Community Volunteer Income Tax Program at Russian Library ( from left to right - Svetlana, Dmitri and Yulia) have been helping hundreds of people in our community to prepare and file their Income tax return for free for many years. We got "thank you" words from CRA to our volunteers:

As the 2019 tax-filing season draws to a close and with National Volunteer Week upon us, we want to thank all of the wonderful volunteers who participated in the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) this year... Being there for the people in your community in their time of need is an important (and sometimes challenging) job. For many Canadians, interacting with the Canada Revenue Agency can be intimidating, and you help bridge this gap with your kindness and professionalism.
