Our summer tutoring program would not have been possible without the help of our amazing tutors and volunteers! The summer program was truly a success because of all the help we received from them.
To show our appreciation, the PIA youth summer staff prepared a small ceremony where we handed out certificates and gift bags. We also had Mr. Michael Nguyen (Executive director) and Ms. Tsering Norzom Thonsur (Settlement Program Manager) join us for the event!
We wish our tutors and volunteers all the very best in their future! We hope to see you back at the PIA!

As we wrap up our summer tutoring program, the summer staff prepared a little ceremony where we handed out individual progress reports and certificates. This was a way for us to show our appreciation and congratulate the tutees for all their hard work throughout the summer. We hope to continue creating spaces like this for children to learn, grow and excel in their academic journeys. On behalf of the PIA team, we wish all our tutees the best of luck for the upcoming school year!

PIA Summer tutoring program is a great success so far!
Yesterday, our summer staffs held their English session where tutees were asked to write a letter to their future selves. This was a great way for children to think about where they see themselves in the next 10 years. Some wrote about their future goals of becoming doctors and engineers while other aspired to play soccer internationally. The activity was enjoyed by both the children and staff members as they shared their goals and aspirations with one another.
We look forward to many more group sessions in the future!
