June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada, a time to learn about and honour the rich cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples, who have lived on this land since time immemorial and continue to shape communities across the country today.

It is also a time for reflection on the ongoing impacts of colonization, and an opportunity to deepen understanding of our shared responsibilities in supporting truth and reconciliation.

We are offering an extra Move & Groove today, Monday June 1st from 1:00 pm - 3:00pm. This program is an interactive program designed to stimulate physical development through fun and educational activities. for parents/caregivers and their children ages, 0-6 years.

We had a fantastic time at Toronto Newcomer Day celebrating the strength, diversity, and contributions of newcomers in our city.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to connect with us, learn about community programs, and share your stories and experiences. Events like this remind us how important it is to build welcoming and inclusive communities where everyone has the opportunity to grow and succeed.

Help prepare your child for the transition to Kindergarten! Taking turns, sharing and following instructions are part of being ready and having well-developed gross motor skills are important too.

Join TNO tomorrow at the City of Toronto’s 12th annual Toronto Newcomer Day im Toronto! Newcomer Day will take place on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Nathan Phillips Square (100 Queen St West, Toronto). Toronto Newcomer Day is a free annual event to officially welcome newcomers to Toronto and celebrate their contributions to the city. The event includes a formal stage program with performances and remarks from special guests, an information fair with resources for newcomers, and several interactive activities. Visit the Toronto Newcomer Day website to learn learn all about the event.
