Thank you to MP Leslie Church for inviting the Toronto Police Service to their Toronto - St. Paul's Public Safety Town Hall on April 7th.
It was great to have our officers speak alongside Secretary of State Ruby Sahota , MPP Stephanie Smyth , Councillor Josh Matlow & our fellow officers from 13 Division.

It was a great opportunity to discuss recent break & enters, home invasions & other community crime.

From 53 Division, the officers were A/D/Sgt Dennis Chen, NCO Sgt Jesse Riley & Community Safety Officer PC Timothy Somers.

These officers are going to be speaking during more upcoming Town Hall Meetings.

YORKVILLE BIA SAFETY MEETING

The Bloor-Yorkville Business Improvement Area convened a safety meeting with local business owners and stakeholders in response to an increase in reported incidents of shoplifting, break and enters, and residential home invasions within the area.

Attendees were provided an opportunity to share concerns directly with police representatives and receive guidance on crime prevention strategies, situational awareness, and measures to enhance the safety and security of their businesses and surrounding properties.

Toronto Police Service officers , PC Timothy Somers , NCO Officer’s PC Jami Bernier , PC Ralph Reloza & MCIT Officer PC Eugene Osoteo, all from 53 Division, spoke to the group & had a productive discussion to enhance security & safety for everyone .

53 Division Auxiliary School Safety Day!

Officers from the 53 Division Auxiliary were happy to be invited to the YESHIVA YESODEI HATORAH Jewish School , to meet with the kids during their week learning the letter “P”. They wanted to meet their local POLICE for this special week.

POLICE UPPER CANADA COLLEGE STREET SAFETY PRESENTATION

After a few neighborhood incidents of suspicious people & vehicles near students from local area schools, the staff invited PC Timothy Somers of the 53 Division, Community Unit along with the some NCO Officers to come speak to the students about street safety.

The students were an amazing audience & very receptive to the advice provided by police.

We are proud to host this fun & popular initiative so youth in the community can come out , meet local NCO & Community Safety Officers & build a partnership with Police!

Our YIPI students enjoy helping officers teach the sport of pickleball & work with the community.

The initiative runs all summer long on Mondays !
