Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating Eid al-Adha across the province and around the world.
I joined Ontario NDP Leader Marit Stiles and Ontario NDP Scarborough Southwest candidate Fatima Shaban at some masjids in Scarborough this morning to reflect on the story of Prophet Ibrahim.
This Eid also comes at a time of rising Islamophobia here at home. The Ontario NDP stands firmly against hate in all its forms.

For years, the TDSB and many other boards provincewide have spent more on special education than has been provided by the Ministry of Education for that purpose, often using funds from other parts of their budgets to cover the gap.
The Ford government just announced another cut of $6.4 million in special education funding next year.

The Ford government passed legislation last month to end the public’s ability to access records of the premier and other top provincial government decision-makers.
Now the entire FOI process has been frozen. Civil servants were told last week not to issue any new decisions or seek out new records from the government.
