Alzheimer’s Awareness in Action.💜

Our Village came together for a meaningful Alzheimer’s Awareness Walk, proudly led by our residents and supported by our dedicated team members. The walk was a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness, show support for those living with Alzheimer’s disease, and honor the families and caregivers who are impacted every day.

Following the walk, residents and team members created a special awareness display on Main Street, sharing information, purple-themed decorations, and messages of hope and support. The display encouraged conversations about Alzheimer’s disease and highlighted the importance of understanding, compassion, and community involvement.

We are proud to stand together in raising awareness and advocating for a future with greater support, education, and hope. Every step taken and every conversation started helps make a difference. 💜

Today, we celebrated Intergenerational Day with our wonderful co-op students! ☕🍵🍪

It was a meaningful opportunity to bring generations together through conversation, connection, and shared experiences. Over coffee, tea, and treats, stories were exchanged, laughter was shared, and new friendships were formed.

We are grateful to our co-op students for their enthusiasm, kindness, and willingness to spend time with our residents. These moments highlight the importance of learning from one another and remind us that meaningful connections can enrich lives at every age.

World Hand Hygiene Day at The Village of Humber Heights 🧼💙

Our team members came together for a day filled with learning, teamwork, and fun, including N95 fit testing, an interactive hand washing and hygiene competition, and of course, some well-deserved snacks and refreshments. It was wonderful to see everyone engaged, supporting one another, and reinforcing the importance of infection prevention and resident safety in our Village.

Events like these remind us that even the smallest actions, like proper hand hygiene, make a meaningful difference in protecting the health and well-being of those around us. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and commitment our Team Members show every single day.

A heartfelt thank you to all team members who participated and helped make the event such a success. Special appreciation goes to our Nursing Department and IPAC Lead for their hard work, organization, and leadership in hosting this memorable event. Your efforts are truly valued and appreciated. 👏✨
