Just watched the 1st Episode of Titans S2, was pleased to see the memorial for Warren before the credits started to roll.. So sad to see but pleased that Warner Bros TV/Titans made good for a terrific special effects guy who will be sadly missed.

Meant to post this a few weeks ago, another truck added to our fleet.

Nice to see a nearly empty building..... 4 vehicles out working today. It’s been a very busy year so far!!

Well, although this dinner date is about 3 months late we finally got together with our wives to celebrate Alex Chojnicki as the new business partner with 1st. Unit Fire & Safety. After Dave working with me for 19 years it's a pleasure to welcome Alex to the business. For all of you who know Dave he will still be around working with us. I would like to thank Dave for the past 19 years and welcome Alex.

A day to remember

20 Year Anniversary.

2016 marks the 20th. Anniversary of 1st. Unit Fire & Safety in Canada, and the 33rd for my time with 1st. Unit Fire & Safety in the UK combined. With over 645 movies, TV Shows, Music Videos, Commercials and special events, it’s something to be very proud of. Some of my past productions in the UK were, Star Wars, Return of the Jedi, The Indiana Jones Trilogy: Raiders, Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade, Batman with Michael Keaton, Aliens II & III and Roger Rabbit, these are only a few of the ‘Big Ones’ Then we started here in Toronto in 1996 and have worked on many major movies and TV shows such as The Corruptor, K19 The Widowmaker, Firehouse Dog (one of my favourites), The Hulk and more recently the yet to be released Su***de Squad & xXx3 Return of Xander Cage, TV Shows include: Earth Final Conflict, In a Heartbeat, Mutant X, ReGenesis, Warehouse 13, Nikita, 12 Monkeys, The Strain and more recently The Expanse & American Gods.

I would like to thank all of the firefighters who work or have worked for us over the past 20 years and not forgetting all the wonderful crews and productions companies who we work with.
Here’s looking forward to another 20 or more successful years in Toronto.

Worked with this fine gentleman on the 3 Indiana Jones movies and Sean Connery's come back as James Bond in Never Say Never Again, back in the UK. Had no idea he was 103.......RIP

Oscar-nominated cinematographer Douglas Slocombe dies aged 103 The well-known cinematographer won Oscar nominations for Travels With My Aunt in 1973, Julia in 1978 and Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1982

And yet another one we say goodbye to today Alan Rickman. Spent at least 4 months working on the movie Robin Hood Prince of Thieves back in 1990 which Alan Rickman co starred with Kevin Costner. He was a true gentleman. The movie industry has lost a true artist at such a 'young age', he will be missed. RIP

Another sad day today with the passing of another well loved musician and actor, David Bowie. Now to show my age..... Had the pleasure and privilege of working with David Bowie back in 1986 in the UK on Labyrinth at Elstree Studios, a fun movie to be involved in........ RIP
