Hey everyone! Hope you are all having a great summer!

Some of you may have seen the email from the CDO regarding the change to inputting GPAs in viLaw Portal - Student Caucus has summarized key points below:

Employers have asked that students not calculate their own law school GPAs and have instructed us to inform students who don’t receive a law GPA from their institution to enter “0” in the available viLawPortal field. Employers will understand that entering “0” in this field means that the student’s institution does not provide a GPA, and they will rely solely on your transcript in this instance. Inputting “0” will not detrimentally impact your application.

Please also note that since this request has only recently come in, and that the viLawPortal has been open for applications for some time, there is flexibility in this request this year. If you have already submitted applications that include a GPA calculation, there is no need to update or resubmit. This will also not detrimentally impact your application.

If you have any further questions, please reach out directly to the CDO! :)
