Happy PSW Day!

The essential care Personal Support Workers provide is an integral part of our healthcare system. Working closely with nurses and doctors, PSWs deliver timely and life-saving care while helping many Ontarians maintain dignity and independence in safe and comfortable spaces.

PSWs are some of the most caring, kind, and compassionate people you will ever meet, which is why it is heartbreaking to see many exposed to disciplinary action and licence revocation without due process or proper representation, with some even being forced to lose their jobs, as a result of legislation and the HSCPOA regulatory body introduced by the Ford government in 2021.

At Queen’s Park, I will continue to advocate for all PSWs to ensure fair treatment, due process, and the respect and protections they deserve as our province's essential workers. Thank you all for what you do!

Premier Doug Ford just forced a vote to take full control over the TTC: meaning higher fares, cancelled routes, and longer wait times.

After waiting 15 years for the Eglinton Crosstown, why would we trust Ford to control Toronto’s transit?
