The Ryerson Conservatives release the following statement on the cancellation of the Ryerson Freedom Rally.

We are less than 5 days away from the biggest conservative event in the history of Ryerson University.

Stand up. Be heard. Be Counted.

Join us on December 18th at 1:30 on Ryerson University campus as we are joined by Maxime Bernier, Randy Hillier and other high-profile speakers.

We DO NOT stand for mandates on campuses. We DO NOT stand for mob justice and the tearing down and renaming of our institutions. We stand for Academic Freedom, We stand for the rights of students.

Make your voice heard at the single largest conservative event ever held at Ryerson University.

Egerton Ryerson was one of the finest men that Canada has ever produced. Any honest reading of our history would vindicate Ryerson of the accusations that the leftist mob are throwing at his exceptional legacy.

Don't take it from us, take it from the Credit Mississauga. He learned to speak Ojibway, worked with them in the fields and earned their respect by living with them.

They gave him an honorary Ojibway name: Cheechock.

This is a direct messag to the no-names deciding the fate of OUR university at "The Strategic Counsel" and Ryerson University. You are embarking on a process that insults the intelligence of Canadians and distorts the history of Canada.

We Are The Students of Ryerson. We Pay For You. You Listen To Us.

We are deeply concerned about the number of students that are writing to us, telling us how they are being denied exemptions by our university to attend classes.

We stand with all Ryerson students regardless of their personal decisions and will always defend their right to receive the education that they pay for.

It was great seeing everyone last night for our second pub night of the year. If you're a Ryerson student and you're fed up with the weak-willed university administration caving to every demand of the radical left on our campus, there's only one campus group that will stand up for your interests.
