How do you get alerted about heat waves? Where do you go for updates when temperatures rise?

Sprout, in collaboration with Toronto Climate Observatory is hosting a community workshop to co-design how heat information and alerts are shared in our city.

Heat waves are one of Toronto’s most serious weather risks, but the systems meant to keep communities informed don’t always reach everyone. This workshop is designed to center community voices and experiences in shaping how heat information is shared.

This workshop is open to all community members!

📍Jane Finch Mall | 1911 Finch Ave West

In the 1990s, the Jane/Finch Centre expanded its mandate to formally include youth, reflecting the growing needs of the community.

During this decade, JFC introduced anti-racism programs, community speak-outs, and substance use prevention initiatives to support youth and families across Jane and Finch.

As programs grew, JFC also expanded its main office, securing two additional units to better serve the community.
