Starting this fall, changes to the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) Program will better align with Canada’s immigration goals and labor market needs.
🆕 PGWP applicants will be required to demonstrate minimum language proficiency:

• CLB 5 for college graduates
These changes will apply to applications submitted after November 1, 2024.

📢 New Temporary Public Policy: Work Permits for Provincial Nominee Program Candidates 🚨
IRCC has introduced a temporary public policy to streamline the work permit process for candidates in the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). This policy allows foreign nationals who meet specific criteria to be exempted from certain regulatory requirements, making it easier to stay and work in Canada.
📝 Eligibility Criteria:
Current Work Permit Holders:
Must apply for a new work permit and provide a support letter from the relevant Provincial or Territorial authority, plus a letter of employment.
Expired Work Permit Holders (as of May 7, 2024):
Must apply for both a new work permit and restoration of their temporary resident status, along with the required documentation.
Pending Work Permit Applications (as of May 7, 2024):
Must provide the necessary support and employment letters with their new work permit application.
📅 Effective Date: June 26, 2024
⏳ Expiration Date: December 31, 2024 (subject to change without notice)
