๐ณ๐ค Today our young engineers became coders, builders, and problem-solvers!
In this exciting Bowling Robot lesson, students explored the power of Algorithms โ learning how step-by-step instructions help solve problems both in coding and in everyday life. From making tea โ to programming robots, they discovered why the correct sequence matters!
Using the Time Wait Command โฑ๏ธ, students programmed their robots to pause, aim, kick the wheel, and reset โ just like real engineers and programmers do.
Through LEGOยฎ building, coding, challenges, upgrades, and friendly competition, students developed:
โจ Algorithmic thinking
โจ Problem-solving skills
โจ Coding fundamentals
โจ Creativity & teamwork
Learning through play is where innovation begins ๐๐งฑ

๐ โจ This Long Weekend: Brick Challenge Level 2 โ The Dancing Ballerina & Crown Gear Motion! ๐งฑโ๏ธ
This long weekend, our young engineers explored an exciting Brick Challenge Level 2 model focused on understanding how motion and direction change in a 90-degree transmission system through the beautiful Ballerina build ๐โจ
๐ง Learning Objective:
Students learned how transmission direction is affected by the physical location of gears in a 90-degree system, and how this creates different rotational behaviors depending on gear placement.
โ๏ธ Key Learning Highlights:
โข Building and exploring the Ballerina model ๐
โข Understanding crown gear transmission systems
โข Comparing normal transmission vs. 90-degree transmission
โข Discovering how gear positioning changes rotation direction (same vs opposite motion)
๐ Core Concept:
In a normal transmission, adjacent gears rotate in the same direction, while in a 90-degree transmission, the crown gears cause a change in direction, making the system rotate differently depending on left or right placement โ๏ธ
๐งฑ Lesson Flow:
Welcome & attendance โ๏ธ
Model introduction (Ballerina) ๐
Hands-on building & experimentation ๐งฉ
Playtime & creative upgrades ๐จ
Dismantling & organization ๐งฑ
Group summary & reflection ๐ง
๐ Story:
Students also enjoyed the story of a magical ballerina whose spinning secret was a hidden crown gear, helping them connect imagination with real engineering concepts โจ
๐จ Upgrades & Creativity:
Students were encouraged to personalize their models and test how design changes affect movement and direction.
๐ A fantastic Brick Challenge Level 2 experience filled with creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on engineering learningโwell done to all our young engineers! ๐
