Situado en Glendon Campus, York University, la misión del CRE es promover el español y la cultura de los países de habla hispana mediante talleres, conferencias, ciclos de cine y otras actividades relacionadas. Además, el CRE alberga una extensa biblioteca especializada en el aprendizaje del español como lengua extranjera, y dispone de una zona de estudio e intercambio de libros.

Today April 23rd we celebrate the Spanish Language Day around the world. Students from the Spanish Program Estudios Hispánicos - Glendon at and from the Lycée Français Toronto created this exhibition honoring the language spoken by more than 580 million people in the world. ¡Viva el español!
Sonia Platnick, a student in the Spanish Program at Estudios Hispánicos - Glendon talks about her artistic recreation of Julio Romero's La chiquita piconera (1930). She critiques the ideals of feminine beauty. This is part of the exhibition Re-Conceptuallizing Pasts, Presents, and Futures coordinated by Professor Shanna Lino. This is our exhibition at the Spanish Resource Centre "Re-conceptualizing pasts, presents and futures". It is composed of artistic recreations elaborated by students enrolled in two courses of the Program in Spanish and Latin American Cultures and Societies. It was coordinated by Prof. Shanna Lino.
