We are thrilled to introduce the first Little Free Library in Antarctica, which was established by Dr. Russell Schnell at the South Pole. Dr. Schnell—an atmospheric scientist for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)...

Many thanks to Scotiabank & the Little Free Library organization for sending this year's shortlisted Giller Prize books to our for the community to enjoy. A great initiative! (And, as a bonus, this can serve as a new example for a certain library steward to use when she teaches arts marketing and corporate sponsorship at UTSC...!)

HUGE thanks to those who responded to our call for children’s books! This is is just a part of a recent, wonderful donation from NKM - picture books, award-winners, Scholastic gems, and much, much more. I spent a lovely Saturday morning going through them all and enjoying some old and new favourites! Thank you, thank you.

If you’re doing some spring cleaning and find some children’s books you’d like to donate, the HQ Little Free Library could certainly use them! (We have a huge back stock of other books, but the kids books go FAST!) Thanks so much.

OPEN! The Little Free Library closed as a precaution in 2020 (when we didn’t know enough about the COVID-19 virus and how it might be transmitted on surfaces). We took the opportunity to sand and restain, and now - one year after we went into lockdown - we’re back. Come visit!

Don’t worry - the Little Free Library was removed temporarily, for maintenance and some further weatherproofing. Be back soon!
