More homes and businesses also mean more pressure on roads, water, services, farmland and green space. Growth needs to work for the people who already live here as well as the people who are coming next.

Colgan and area residents have been upset about the trucks along the townline. Here’s the deal:
-The Town has retained GFL to complete the cleanout of the treatment lagoons at the Tottenham WWTP.
-This work is necessary to maintain and enhance the performance and treatment capacity of the facility.
-The project has been underway for approximately one week and is scheduled for completion by October 10.
-Under the terms of the contract, all work is restricted to the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
-Staff met with the contractor today to review trucking speeds, community safety zones, and potential alternate routes.
The contractor has also been directed not to commence trucking operations prior to 7:00 a.m. to minimize disruption in residential areas.

🚦Have you noticed that the lights at the 6th line turn even if no one is waiting? That’s because the east-bound detector at the intersection of 6th Line and 10th Sideroad was removed and sent to the manufacturer for repair or replacement. During the interim, the signals are cycling on a fixed-timing cycle to allow traffic to flow rather than the actuated timing we had when the detector was functioning properly. We are currently waiting for the repair to be completed.
