The 12-person Committee will be made up of four volunteers that live in the City of Trail, four volunteers that live in the Village of Warfield, and two Council members from each municipality.

Happening today! Residents may experience intermittent water shut offs or low pressure as crews flush hydrants.

📣 Residents take note:

🦺 Public Works will be servicing fire hydrants throughout the Village on Tuesday, October 27 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. During this time, there may be service interruptions to water service for a period of up to an hour.

💧 Once service is restored, water may be cloudy or discoloured. Please run cold taps until the water is clear.

We are supporting the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary (RDKB) in conducting a prescribed burn for hazard reduction and training. This burn is located within the Village of Warfield on municipally owned land between Whitman Way and Bingay Road and will cover up to 2.4 hectares.

The exact timing of this burn will depend on weather and site conditions, but it could begin as early as Friday, October 23, 2026.

Key goals for this project include:
- Reduce accumulations of dead wood and other combustible material
- Public demonstration burn and cross-training between the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary and Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Rescue
- Improve the safety and effectiveness of wildfire suppression operations
- Decrease the risk and impacts of future wildfires in the area

We're getting ready for Nightmare on Lauriente Way on Saturday, Oct. 24! We have a small but mighty committee and we'd love your help to bring it all together. Event is 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. and volunteer duties start as early as noon.

The countdown is on! Follow the spooky path down to the Village Office this year.

UPDATE: We're celebrating the same day & same time, but we changed a few location details. BC Elections needs the Warfield Hall so our spooky walk along Lauriente Way starts across from Webster school and ends at the Village Office for an outdoor gathering with hot chocolate, fire pits (propane, of course) and bring your carved pumpkin for the Sandy Kruger memorial pumpkin carving contest.
