Halloween is for everyone!
This halloween, let's reember that every child deserves to feel included, celebrated and free to enjoy the magic of being a kid. Some children may communicate differently, wear costumes differently, need a little extra time, or celebrate in their own unique way.

Be kind. Be Inclusive. Let kids be kids :)
Happy halloween to all our little ghosts, goblins, princesses and superheros out there!

Trick or treating is A LOT for some kids. The crowds. The costumes. The door knocking. The forced conversation. The waiting. If you have a little one that needs to take some of the stress of trick or treating away, try giving them an alternate way to say “trick or treat” and/or “thank you”. We made a number of these paddles that kids can hold or wave instead of using their words. Come out and pick one up if you think it will make Halloween more fun!!

OT Atlantic 2026 - the Little One’s OTs were spreading awareness of emotional regulation needs and the strategies we have to make things easier for kids to do hard things. So nice to collaborate with colleagues and peers from across the Maritimes!
