🤠🏆 Yahoo! What an incredible way to kick off Stampede!

This morning, residents, families, staff, volunteers, and community members gathered at Generations for a special Stampede Breakfast Watch Party. Together, we enjoyed eggs, barazi, pancakes, chai, and coffee while cheering on the Generations and Ismaili Stampede Float as it made its way through the Calgary Stampede Parade.

We are thrilled to share that our float was awarded the Best Community/Social Impact Award!

This recognition reflects the extraordinary dedication of our community. Over 3,500 volunteer hours were contributed to bringing this year’s float to life. Residents played an important role throughout the process, helping with finishing touches, decorations, and creative details that made the float truly special. The result was not just a float, but a community project that brought people of all ages together through service, creativity, and connection.

We are proud to partner with the Ismaili community on this year’s float and to celebrate the values of community, belonging, volunteerism, and care that unite us.

A heartfelt thank you to every volunteer, resident, family member, staff member, and community supporter who helped make this achievement possible. This award belongs to all of you.

Happy Stampede, Calgary! 🤠❤️🏆

As we celebrate, we also recognize and honour the histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples, whose stewardship of this land continues to shape our shared future.
