While in last week, I had the opportunity to tour the Turtle’s Nest Child and Youth Advocacy Centre of Nipissing District and learn more about the important work and learn more about the important work being done by Victim Services of Nipissing District.

Through its unique service model, the centre brings together support services to provide a safe, friendly environment where children and young victims can be interviewed as part of a criminal investigation and access counselling and other supports.

We also had the chance to meet Moka, the centre’s support dog!

This collaborative approach is making a meaningful difference for children and families navigating difficult circumstances in Northern Ontario.

Great to attend the 2nd Legal Aid Summit alongside Legal Aid Ontario - Aide juridique Ontario and share an update on our progress.

This , we are working to ensure more people across Ontario can access the legal support they need, when they need it most.
