GreenPAC We are Canada’s movement to recruit, nominate, elect & support environmental leadership in politics With the help of Canadians, we will:
a. b. How it works:
1.

Create a critical mass of political leaders – from all parties – who care about the environment, and who know how to get the job done. Endorse, elect, support, and celebrate leaders who take action. A panel of independent and non-partisan experts will analyze who is running and endorse candidates from all major parties.
2. Canadians who believe in creating a stronger voice for the environment in politics will pledge their support to those candidates.
3. Once elected, we will provide expertise to help MPs move their issues forward. Your support will enable us to:
a. Seek out candidates from each major political party who have strong environmental records
b. Organize a social media platform to support our candidates
c. Recruit supporters and link them with candidates
d. Deliver in 2015 and beyond

We’re also marking 10 years of cross-partisan environmental leadership. For a decade, GreenPAC has worked to ensure that Canada has leaders across all parties who understand the urgency of climate change and are equipped to act.

From supporting strong environmental candidates, to hosting conversations that bring parties together on climate, to launching two internship programs that have helped over 50 young people gain hands-on political experience, our work helps make environmental leadership a political norm, not a partisan exception.

As we launch our year-end campaign, your Giving Tuesday contribution helps strengthen this work at a time when Canada needs it most.

Help us reach our goal of raising $7,500!

🌿🇨🇦 With Canada’s new government focused on economy, sovereignty, and workers, where does climate action fit into the federal agenda? At GreenPAC’s “The Climate Agenda Ahead: Policy, Politics, and Public Support,” our expert panelists took stock of the election promises, key climate commitments, and the challenges ahead.

They also explored how government, media, and advocacy groups can rebuild public support for climate policies, learning from past communication challenges to create stronger coalitions for lasting climate leadership.

HUGE thanks to our panelists: Alex Cool-Fergus, Andrew Heffernan, and Ross Linden-Fraser for a great conversation.
