Today, we were honoured to welcome members of the Royal Canadian Legion to the Town Office for a special poppy presentation to Mayor Glenn Burke.

This annual tradition marks the approaching season of Remembrance and serves as a reminder of the courage, service, and sacrifice of those who have served our country.

As the 2026 Poppy Campaign begins tomorrow, October 24, we encourage everyone to wear a poppy in honour of Canada's Veterans and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to our local Legion members for their visit and for their continued dedication to keeping the spirit of Remembrance alive in our community.

📣‼️CALLING ALL LOCAL & REGIONAL BUSINESS OWNERS‼️📣

Could you see your business advertised here?

The Town is exploring a replacement for the “Portal to the Peace” Y Sign at its current location, featuring larger digital displays and just six illuminated fixed advertising panels, three on each side.

Tell us whether you’d advertise here and what pricing and terms would work for your business. Your responses will help determine whether there’s enough corporate support to make the project financially viable.

📋 View the concept and complete the Expression of Interest:
https://valleyview.ca/advertising-expression-of-interest-proposed-portal-to-the-peace-sign/

📆Deadline to submit the Expression of Interest: November 13, 2026

This is an exploratory process. Construction is not guaranteed, and submitting an EOI does not purchase or reserve advertising space.
