In 2022 the Vancouver police lobby held a candidates' meeting.

Sean attended the meeting with a clear message: "Police out of politics."

Ralph Kaisers kicked him out, then endorsed Ken Sim.

If you agree police need to stay out of politics, help us build the movement to elect Sean Orr on April 5th.

Vancouver is not just for the 1%.

Sean Orr is running for city council to stand up to the billionaires who buy politicians and elections, to fight to protect tenants, to fight for permanently affordable public housing, and to make Ken Sim’s life hard every single day until we evict him next year.

We’re thrilled to have him as our COPE candidate. He’s exactly the kind of fighter we need to stand up to ABC and Ken Sim.

Sign up to volunteer, join COPE, or donate today to be part of it. Let’s come together and form a working class movement to take back our city from the billionaires bullies.

Vancouver In Common  — VOTE Socialist Vancouver 01/17/2025

To win City Hall, the left will have to unite and broaden its appeal to elect a majority on city council. Voters at all levels are rejecting centrist defenders of the status quo. By coming together around a bold and transformative political agenda, and by building grassroots political power in all Vancouver’s neighbourhoods, we can defeat Sim and ABC.

Vancouver In Common  — VOTE Socialist Vancouver We need a united front to defeat Ken Sim and his billionaire backers. In the interests of left unity and to maximize the potential for electing a representative of renters and working class people in Vancouver, Vote Socialist will not be nominating its own candidate in this year’s municipal by-ele...

Tell Premier Eby that you object to recriminalization - First United Church 04/26/2024

“On April 26, Premier David Eby announced his plans to recriminalize substance use in BC. This is a deadly step backward. We are disturbed to see this shift in policy that will keep people in cycles of criminalization, and without question lead to more people dying because they will use alone and in non-visible spaces.”

Mayor Ken Sim’s one-sided statements on the escalating violence in the Middle East are grossly irresponsible, conflating concern for Palestinian human rights with hatred and putting into question the right of people to freely assemble as guaranteed by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

The City of Vancouver should be upholding universal human rights and the Constitutional rights of all in Canada to assemble, to dissent, and to protest war crimes, occupation, the targeting of civilians, and the denial of basic human rights.

There is a long tradition of the City taking positions for global peace and justice, from the anti-nuclear proliferation Peace Walks in the 1980s to the City’s unanimous opposition to the illegal 2003 war on Iraq and the holding of the World Peace Forum in 2006.

Ken Sim’s statements amount to a serious threat to civil liberties while doing nothing to further the cause of global peace and justice.

On Ken Sim's So-Called "Swagger" and ABC'S Class War 06/23/2023

"You can’t run a city on photo-ops. The shiny techno-utopian facade will crumble under the weight of inequality and climate disasters."

Sean Orr on Ken Sim's 'swagger' and ABC's class war.

On Ken Sim's So-Called "Swagger" and ABC'S Class War Sean Orr is back from his hiatus with a rundown of the local headlines that have been running on a ticker tape through his mind over the past six months...
